LATE STRIKE STUNS UNITED…..
A late strike by veteran striker Alan Jones earned Nefyn United a flattering win at a very damp Eithin Duon. Jones who came on as a substitute late in the first half, sniffed out the winner in the eighty first minute of this hard fought encounter. A long range effort from Nefyn’s midfielder Caron Williams brought a fine low save from United’s custodian Dave Ball, but it was veteran Jones who was first to the rebound to hammer the ball into the net beyond the helpless Ball.
United had several good goal scoring opportunities during this encounter to win the match comfortably, but failed to capitalise and therefore paid dearly.
Up next for United is a tough league match away to Llandudno Junction this coming Saturday.
