David Noel Williams also known as Charlie, an influential midfielder for United for the last four seasons, has this week joined Caernarfon Town in the Cymru Alliance League.
There were mixed feelings among the United faithful, sad to loose an inspirational player and colleague, and on the other hand supportive and proud of the fact that he moves on to a higher league.
There always be a welcome for Charlie at Eithin Duon, everybody at Llanrug United wish to thank him for his loyal service and wish him well with the Canaries, and hopefully we will see him again in the red and white of United some time in the future.
David made his debut for United coming on as a substitute for Martin Bohana in a Welsh Alliance League encounter at Eithin Duon on the 16 th August 2006. United lost the match that day 5-2 against a spirited Pwllheli outfit, but gained a valuable player, who went on to make a futher 120 appearances for United and score 65 valuable goals from his position in midfield.
David was United’s Player of The Season in his first year at the club and Top Scorer for 2007/08 and 2008/09 seasons.
